Bagoong alamang

Bagoong alamang, or shrimp paste to non-Filipinos, is common in our household. We always have one ready just in case we want to put a little in our rice or viand.
Yesterday, we had some green mangoes with bagoong. It was really flavorful. I put a little bit of bagoong with my breaded porkchop, too. Weird for some people, I know. But I just love how bagoong tastes. It makes a simple meal taste great!
Kare-kare is a favorite of mine, with bagoong of course.
At home, we put tomatoes and chicharon in our bagoong alamang. Lalong nakakataba at nakaka-high blood hehe
It’s really delicious. If you are not Filipino or you haven’t tried bagoong alamang yet, I suggest you try it.
P.S. Too much of bagoong can cause high blood pressure.

I love bagoong alamang, with crisp green mangoes, tomatoes and onions.Kamayan na!
Hubby likes kare-kare but doesn’t like alamang, hehe.
