Singleness

Being single has its perks. No husband to think of. No formula milk and diapers to worry about. No kids who will take away 90% of your attention and time. No too many familial things to think of half of the time. You can go out anytime you want without feeling guilty because you’re away from the family. You need not feel

But well, that also means you haven’t found the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. Being single also means that you still have to endure the constant nagging from your family, friends and relatives about snagging that guy, staying slim (I was advised to take diet pills like Phentermine no prescription needed to hasten my progress to my ideal weight), and keeping tab on my biological clock that is ticking away. There is also that constant tug in your heart when you see a woman carrying her baby. Of course, most single women want to have a baby someday.

If there is one person who knows all these, that would be me. Coming from a large family, I do tend to receive the show of “concern” whenever there are family gatherings. I tend to be the recipient of most criticisms because they feel that I am not doing anything to remedy by “singleness”. But I bear it with grace. After more than five years of receiving those “advices”, I got used to it already.
