Under One Roof

The youngest in the family, James, and the second to the youngest, Grace, are like cat and dog at home. The two would often clash even on small things. I kept on reminding them to act their age but for some reason, they find themselves arguing over so many things, including the silly ones. Oh, they have their moments. They share interests on a lot of things. It’s just that, for some reason, they rub each other wrong most of the times.

Just the other night, they had a fight over text messaging. My brother is a texting addict. He cannot stop himself from texting his friends even when we are praying. Naturally, my sister, being older, scolded him about it. And naturally, for James, he has a reply ready. I didn’t hear them at first, I thought they were just discussing something, probably Caribbean cruises for all I know. I forgot to mention that at one time, when Grace was still starting out as a teacher, James was a student of hers. So they also often discuss persons they know. When I heard that they were arguing again, I had to step in and give them a mouthful. Thankfully, they stopped and listened to me.
