Adoption
Posted by Adie on February 5th, 2009. Filed under: Family Matters.Four years ago, I was considering adoption. I really wanted to have a kid of my own that time. I was checking orphanages where I can find my baby. But months after that search, I realized that a kid is not like a puppy that you can adopt easily. It takes not just money and time to become a parent. It takes a whole lot more than that. I am emotionally, mentally and physically prepared to have a kid of my own. But am I really that ready?
So I reconsidered. My best friend helped me come up with the decision. He was a big help back then. He actually offered to accompany me to White Cross. It is an NGO that helps infants and kids that are abandoned by their parents.
Looking back, the adoption idea seemed like spurred on by my mother’s demise. But then I still consider it now. Although not as much as four years ago.
