Considering retirement?

My dad’s best friend and my godfather, Jose, is considering retirement already. It’s an early retirement actually. The company he works for is offering an early retirement package for those who are over 50 years old and has served the company for more than 10 years. Jose has been with the company for almost 25 years now. And he is 53 years old in 2008. He is more than eligible for the offer.
Aside from the fact that he will be receiving quite a big amount from the retirement package offer, he also received a trust fund set aside for him by a distant relative. All in all, he is set for an early retirement at the place of his choice. He has yet to choose, though. He is looking into a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city, a place he has in mind where calm and quiet reigns.
