In denial

I am talking about a local celebrity, rumored to be getting scientific help but always denying it. I don’t know why these people are denying going under the knife to help them look better. Hey, if you can afford it, if it benefits you, if you are not hurting anyone with what you’re doing, why deny it?? I just couldn’t understand that.
