Under One Roof

We have not visited our relatives in the countryside for quite some time now. We have been planning to visit but since most of my siblings’ work schedule coincides with the planned date, it got postponed again and again. Last week, we were able to visit because my sister took a vacation leave. And boy were we glad to visit!

Two cousins are now enjoying their electrician careers. You know, in the countryside, the courses you have to take should be those which will become in demand. Like an electrician. So the two cousins are now done with the electrician schools and are now practicing what they learned from it. I actually saw one of them in action when there was an electrical shortage of some sort at the neighbor and he was called. At least both are now earning money that they can use to help their other siblings.

This is what I love about family gatherings. We get updated with what’s happening with the relatives who live far from us. Achievements like the electrician certifications of both cousins. Problems that might be resolved in that gathering right away. Every little thing that can be discussed in front of each other…
