Special gifts for love ones
Posted by Adie on April 6th, 2009. Filed under: Check Out.What kinds of gifts you give your love ones during special occasions? Do you give something off the top of your head? Or do you give something generic, much like what you would give to an acquaintance who invited you to a birthday party?
Personally, I feel like each gift should be special to the person you are giving it to. Most especially if that person is special to you. A friend, a family member, a relative, someone you look up to. Your special someone. There are watches that you can give to a friend that you can’t just give to your best girl friend. Otherwise, it will feel like you did not spend time thinking of what to give at all. I do not like that at all. Because you know why? I don’t also like feeling that my close friends or special someone did not spend time thinking what to give me as well.
Buying jewellery is very common for couples. But it is also a tradition of sorts in our family to give something special, a ring or a necklace or a bracelet to someone celebrating their 18th birthday. It is a very special gift because we will pass it on to the next generation. In my case, to my eldest daughter. Quite unique, don’t you think?
There are specific gifts, of course. Like my mom, when she was still alive, loved citizen watches. The last one that she used was still with my dad up to now.
So I suggest that when you give a gift, think about the person you are giving it to. Think what will make them smile upon opening that gift wrap. Make sure that what you are giving is really special to the recipient. Pick out the best gifts for your love ones. Always.
